A pan of something creamy

I made this mid-week because I wanted something cold waiting in the fridge for the weekend. A glass pan of something creamy, a lot of whipped topping, a dusting of cinnamon-cocoa fine enough that you have to look twice to see it. I covered it and stuck it in the fridge and then came right back and stole a corner piece standing up, the whole lid still in my hand, because that’s what you do when a dessert comes together.

A rectangular glass baking dish on a wood table, filled edge-to-edge with a pale whipped-cream layer that's been dusted all over with fine cocoa and cinnamon.
