Pizza pinwheels with marinara

Football Sunday, which in our house means my husband on the couch and me making something that can be eaten with a toothpick. Pizza pinwheels

  • a rolled dough with cheese and herbs and a little sauce inside, sliced and baked until the edges crisped. A ramekin of warm marinara for dipping. He ate most of them. I ate the ones with the browner edges because the browner ones are the best ones and I wasn’t going to argue the point with a man watching football.
A rectangular white platter on a wood table holding a dozen or so baked pizza pinwheels - spiraled cross-sections of dough with cheese and herbs - beside a small white ramekin of warm marinara.
