Salmon over tomato-feta orzo

November. The leaves were doing their thing outside and I wanted a dinner that was a little stubborn about it - tomatoes and feta and salmon, which is a plate I associate with August. Orzo pulled it all together. My husband said did we just go to Greece. We did not. But the kitchen smelled like a place with an olive tree for about an hour, and that was enough for a Monday.

A round white bowl with a pan-seared salmon fillet resting on a bed of orzo tangled with halved grape tomatoes, crumbled feta, and torn parsley.
