Salisbury steak, again

This is the second salisbury steak of the year and probably not the last. A Monday. The August heat had finally bent a little and the kitchen didn’t feel like punishment to be in, which is enough of an excuse to turn on the oven and brown something in butter. Patty under a mushroom-chive gravy, roast potato cubes gone a little too dark in the best way, and a tangle of broccoli and asparagus. A grandma-dinner kind of plate. That’s the name now.
