Saturday barbecue out. Brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage coiled like a snake, a brick of burnt-end ribs, thick slices of pit ham, and a paper cup of mac and cheese tucked beside, all over butcher paper on a metal tray. I ate so much brisket that I couldn’t taste the sausage until the leftovers the next day. No regrets.
