Christmas at our house is always a small thing. We did a filet with mushroom gravy this year - a thick pan-seared steak over a pile of mashed potatoes, gravy loose enough to pool into every crevice, broccoli on the side because you need something green on Christmas.
For dessert, a wedge of white-chocolate cheesecake got dressed up as a reindeer: two chocolate-covered pretzels for antlers, two candy eyes, a red M&M for a nose. He was delicious.
I wish I had a better picture of the table. I have this one of the plate and this one of the reindeer. It’s enough.
